An upright piano is a versatile instrument that fits perfectly in pop, R&B, hip-hop, and various modern music genres. It has been featured in numerous iconic tracks throughout musical history, becoming the heart of many songs. The character and immediacy of an upright piano are sometimes preferred over the grand piano, making it a unique choice. Pure Upright captures the distinctive sound of the upright piano and delivers a user-friendly experience similar to the acclaimed Pure Piano for iOS.

Resembling an XY pad in its tactile design, the Morph Pad presents nine core timbres of the upright piano, such as Vintage, Intimate, Reverse, Gated, and Pad. Positioned as the primary sound at the core, the "pure" Upright is complemented by eight additional presets for users to explore. By seamlessly navigating through the wide range of tones, users can blend various timbres and craft personalized sounds by combining neighboring presets for saving and recalling later.

Pure Upright can function as a standalone app or as an AUv3 plug-in within your preferred DAW. Its extensive connectivity options enable easy access to keyboard controllers via USB, direct connection, or Bluetooth MIDI. Additionally, the app supports direct Mac connectivity using Inter Device Audio (IDAM), streamlining integration into desktop projects by providing MIDI transmission and audio reception through a single cable. Network MIDI and Inter-App Audio support are also available for triggering the piano from other installed apps.

With customizable reverb, EQ, and delay features, users can unleash their creativity in sound production. Unlinking audio effects from the Morph Pad allows for personalized settings adjustments like adding reverb for ambiance, tweaking EQ settings, or incorporating delay effects to enhance specific sounds.

To further enhance user experience, pedal and key noise adjustments are available, along with flexible tuning options tailored to different needs. The stretched piano tuning emulates how a piano technician tunes the instrument, while equal temperament tuning is ideal for layering with electric pianos, pads, or strings. Users can also transpose the piano to accommodate vocalists singing in different keys.

For an optimal experience with Pure Upright, using a controller keyboard is recommended to trigger notes and create a realistic upright piano feel. The on-board velocity response page allows customization of the dynamic response to match users' playing style and achieve the desired velocity sensitivity for both the user and the music being played.

Designed and developed by Hamburg-based e-instruments, Pure Upright showcases their expertise in creating high-quality digital reproductions of acoustic instruments.
